I chose to be a freelancer 16 years ago not because I can't work with people but because
freelancing offers numerous benefits as a Mother of 2 children (ages 13 and 16). As a Mother, I
love the flexible schedule and the ability to maintain a healthy work-life balance. I have been
able to both work and volunteer at organizations that I find uplifting. I am a fiercly
modivated morning person. I value quality and love getting up at 6am to "get-things-done" and
participate in life.
As a professional designer, it means more than just creating visually appealing work—it
involves solving problems through thoughtful, and functional design. A professional designer
must balance creativity with practicality, understanding both the client's goals and the needs
of the end user. I have strong communication skills. I am adaptable. I have a deep
knowledge of design principles, tools, and trends. I am constantly refining my craft to deliver
impactful and effective results. Currently, I am challenging myself to learn more JavaSript.
Other interests include: running, volunteering, hiking, paddleboarding and creating art.
These activities are more than just hobbies for me—they are a way to clear my mind, stay
healthy, and challenge myself both physically and mentally. They help me stay focused,
disciplined, and
energized throughout the day. My outdoor time is a personal time where I can set goals, reflect,
while enjoying the rhythm and solitude of nature. Running has taught me perseverance and
consistency, values that carry over into other areas of my life and work.
